Inspired Stamps Sneak Peek: Butterflies and Blooms!

This week over at The Inspired Stamps Blog each day there has been a sneak peak featured by two of the design team members. Today is my part of the sneak peek and I'm featuring the Butterflies and Blooms stamp set! I stamped three butterflies, Copic colored them in, cut and paper pieced them on a strip of patterned paper. Adhered the strip to the card base with more cardstock and stamped one of the many cute coordinating sentiments in this set on to a flag. Aren't these butterflies adorable?! I had so much fun coloring them in! I added some self stick pearls and some faux gel pen stitching to finish off the card.

Be sure to head over to the Inspired Stamps Blog and comment on the posts for the rest of the week. Inspired Stamps' ever generous owner Antoinette, is giving away credits to her shop and you don't want to miss a chance to win!! The new releases go on sale tomorrow at noon!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Sweet Stamp Shop: Sentimental Birds

I made this card using Sentimental Birds from Sweet Stamp Shop. When I saw SSS was teaming up with CAS-ual Fridays I was beyond excited that I could enter this card into both challenges! Yay! CAS-ual Fridays' challenge was to make a CAS card that featured soft pastels with black: The Bold & The Beautiful! So I decided to make my bold with black embossing powder and my beautiful by painting with mists and white washing with Tim Holtz Distress stain in Picket Fences. Once the paint dried I adhered black and white washi tape to the edges to make a frame. Then I stamped a sentiment to the flag and affixed it to the cardstock with a black brad.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!

ETA: Yay! This card won the grand prize over at Sweet Stamp Shop!!

Sweet Stamping Treats, anything but a card

This week the Sweet Stamping Treats design team was asked to make anything other than a card. So being fresh off of the Cameo blog hop ...I decided to die cut a heart shaped basket and fill it with tea! I decided to use the SST Mother's Day Tea Pot and a doily for the front decor of the tea basket. I attached a hand cut flag, tied a bow around the tea pot handle, stamped a tea bag, and stuck down three rhinestones for some extra embellishment.

Karber Digi Design Team Card of The Week: Coffee Leslie!

I am addicted to coffee, like woah! So when I saw the Coffee Leslie digi, I just had to have it! Isn't she adorable?? I wanted to take a vintage twist on the card by incorporating a news paper (a real one, not a digital copy!), a cup of coffee, and pajamas. My type of girl! :) After I Copic colored her in, I added some Liquid Applique in white to the frothy steamy goodness in the mug and a Tim Holtz mini paper clip on the sentiment.

Made Especially For You, Distress Ink!

This week's challenge at Made Especially For You is to make a card using Distress Inks. I chose to use my Yoshimi stamp from Sister Stamps. I die cut a piece of white card stock and stamped Yoshimi in the center and Copic colored her. Then I used a Momento ink finger tool to blend in Tumbled Glass and Festive Berries Tim Holtz Distress inks. Then I ran picket fences white distress stain over it and then ran more Festive Berries over the edges of the die cut with my Tim Holtz foam tool. I also inked all the other paper pieces with Festive Berries, too! A lot of distressing, but with a minimal look ...just how I wanted it! :)

This week's challenge is sponsored by Whoopsi Daisy!

Inspired Stamps, His Little Ones.

Hi folks, so sorry about the repeat card this week. I made this one when I sent in my work for the Inspired Stamps design team call back in January. I wouldn't normally do this, but I've been under the weather for the past few days. If you've never seen this card before, then please forget the last three sentences! ;) I used His Little Ones: soldier with helmet for the little Army guy and the scriptures I used in the background are James 1:2 and Isaiah 30:15. I used Washi tape from Studio Calico to frame the card base and I made a Kraft banner with a Thank You sentiment. The stars were cut on my Cricut in three different sizes.

Thank you so much for stopping by and again, I am so sorry about the repeat! Please make sure to come check out the Inspired Stamp's Blog starting Monday the 26th for the start of the sneak peek week for the new stamp sets!! My sneak peek will be posted on my blog on the 29th. We can't wait to show you all the awesome new stamps the amazing Antoinette has designed!!

Sweet Stamping Treats

For this week's card for the design team I chose to use the Ladybug with Flower's digi. I used the print and cut feature on my Silhouette to put the digi in the die cut. I Copic colored the digi and distress stained the background with a paint brush. Once it dried I adhered it to Lawn Fawn Bright Side paper and tied Divine Twine into a bow at the bottom and adhered it to a Kraft card base. I thought it needed an extra zhush, so I added some Doodlebug gems to the centers of the flowers. :)

Thanks so much for stopping by and hello to the new followers! I appreciate you all so much! Once I hit 100 followers I'll host another blog candy giveaway!!

Karber Digi Design Team Card of The Week: Easter Jenny!

This week I used Easter Jenny which also is on sale this week! Definitely go take advantage of the sale! Just about every Karber character has their own Easter image. Super cute!

I used my Spellbinders Wonky Frames die to cut and emboss this card. These are great to use with digis as you cut them after you've printed them, so there's no guessing if the image will be centered, which just makes things sooo much easier! I Copic colored Jenny and also made the grass with short strokes of the marker. Then I edged the grassy part with Peeled Paint Distress Ink and the sky portion with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. Then tied a piece of linen thread into a bow through a Pebbles flower button. I needed an easy card to make this week as I'm struggling with allergies. So glad I thought to use the Spellbinders dies with my Karber digi, made things go a lot quicker than fussing with paper piecing and cutting everything by hand!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Inspired Stamps, Scripture.

Happy Thursday, fellow bloggers! This week the Inspired Stamps DT made cards with their favorite Inspired Stamps scripture stamp. For my card this week I used Isaiah 30:15. I cut a die cut doily from my Cricut and stamped the scripture in the center. I made a mask by using a scrap circle I had laying on my table from a previous project. By using the mask, when I spritzed the doily with the spray it only sprayed the edges. Taking my foam ink blending tool I then blended in Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. Then went over the edges with some white mist on a paint brush. I adhered the doily to the card using foam adhesives to really make the scripture pop!

I also wanted to share with you the current coupon over at the Inspired Stamp store! 40% off the highest priced stamp in your cart, no minimums! The coupon code is good through March 18th, so only a couple more days!! If you've ever wanted an item from IS, now is the time! Click the link below and when checking out use the code: MARCH12

Pleased to announce I am now on the SYC Design Team!!

I was soooo excited to find out I had been chosen for the SYC design team!! I have waaaay too much scrapping materials! I am even too ashamed to let my crafty friends see my little craft nook because I have stuff laying everywhere!! It's not my fault I keep telling myself, you only have a quarter of an already small room to work with! Sure, that may be true but it doesn't mean I have to become a hoarder with my paper or my buttons. I like how with the SYC DT you have to use up your old stuff, you can't buy new stuff! I must admit I still buy things that aren't consumables like stamps or die cut templates. For now the only consumables I buy are adhesives and my Studio Calico kit, but hey, I'm under contract!! lol Seriously though ...no more stickers, no more washi tapes, no more buttons, no more mists, no more twine, and for goodness sakes no more PAPER!! I have a Doodlebug paper cube and it's completely full, what is wrong with me?? Gah! I've also been consumed by cards as of late, which is awesome, I love making them! However, my poor scrapbook hasn't had a new page made for it since December up until now!!! This will now change!

So for my first ever SYC DT project it was to use washi tapes! Yay, I only have about a gazillion of those laying haphazardly all over my craft nook, easy peasy! I lined them up on a piece of scrap cardstock I had laying on my floor (srsly, what is wrong with me?) and layered on top of some of the thicker washi tapes so that they were nearly all the same width. Then I cut flags at the bottom, alternating between larger deeper flag cuts and smaller flag cuts. I used that as a mat for the adorable picture of my cat and my husband. Before I added the photo I sprinkled mists all over the cardstock and the washi piece I made with drips and splats. Then once that dried I added the photo and the chipboard & stickers. I journaled a little then decided I needed more embellishment, so I made my own with more washi tape, cardstock, stickers, buttons, and twine. All of course I had on hand! Egads!!!

Click the link below to check out the SYC blog! Lots of inspiration and awesome ways to use up all the stuff you've been hoarding for that Zombie scrap apocalypse attack that will surely come! You know the one where she that has the most scrapbooking materials lives the longest? Right, lol!

Sweet Stamping Treats, Sketch.

This is the sketch the Sweet Stamping Treats' design team was asked to work with this week. I tweeked mine a lil and made it rectangle just so I could send it to OWH.

For my card this week I used the Spring Bunny digi for my image from SST's newest release. I colored the image in with Copics and the bunny's tail with a lil white snow making pen to give it a lil fluff! Such a great image that is totally customizable for Easter, Spring, or any kind of card really. Had a lot of fun with this sketch and the digi!

Karber Digi Design Team Card of The Week: Cute Japanese!

This week's Karber digi design team card features Cute Japanese, she is indeed cute ...or as I like to say, Kawaii, which means cute in Japanese. :) After Copic coloring the image, I die cut a bunch of different shapes and layered them all on an A2 sized white card base. Cut a strip of paper, stamped the sentiment, cut flags at the end and added two self stick pearls. Such a fun card to make!

Also, be sure to stop by Karber's Blog and see how to win their newest clear stamp set release, Cute Strawberry! She's super kawaii and you won't want to miss this chance to win the set!

Made Especially For You, Sketch Challenge

This week at Made Especially For You the challenge is to make a card with the sketch below. I had some canvas bunting flags with grommets by Maya Road from an old Studio Calico kit I had that I never used. When I saw the sketch I went on a mad hunt to find them in my craft nook! When I finally found them I stamped an I, a heart, and a U on each flag in Stayzon ink. Then strung them up with linen thread to match the sketch. I cut a piece of scratch blue and polka dot paper and rounded the edges, again to match the sketch. After that I just did my own thing and rolled some roses from felt that I had left over from another project and adhered them with Glossy Accents. I felt they needed some leaves, so I cut some off a left over strip of Amy Tan fabric stickers. Then I made a flag and stamped the Happy Anniversary sentiment from Lawn Fawn. Because the roses and bunting took up a lot of the design of the card, I decided to not add the three embellishments at the bottom and I did faux white stitches instead to fill up the rest of the empty space. That's my interpretation of the sketch, can't wait to see how you interpret it! Make sure to stop by the blog and see how you can win a Cricut cartridge, too!!

Be sure to stop by the Made Especially For You and click their challenge tab to enter this week's Sketch Challenge. This week's challenge is sponsored by: Jessica's Craft Shaque! The winner will receive a set of decorative corsage pins!

Inspired Stamps, Easter.

Happy Thursday, fellow bloggers! This week the Inspired Stamps DT made Easter cards or Scripture cards. For my card this week I used His Cross for the Scripture and Fruitful Flourishes for the swirly embellishments. First I stamped out the Scripture and flourishes. Then I cut and embossed the cardstock using a Nestabilities die and my Cuttle bug. I edged all the papers with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo and my foam tool and adhered them to the white card base, with the die cut being adhered with thin foam adhesives. Lastly I added some self stick pearls.

I also wanted to share with you the Christian Art Journaling blog the owner of Inspired Stamps, Antoinette is doing for the entire month of March. Even if you're not a fan of journaling, it's a great blog to learn new and innovative techniques you can use with a bevy of different paper craft projects.
