Sweet Stamping Treats, Sketch.

This is the sketch the Sweet Stamping Treats' design team was asked to work with this week. I tweeked mine a lil and made it rectangle just so I could send it to OWH.

For my card this week I used the Spring Bunny digi for my image from SST's newest release. I colored the image in with Copics and the bunny's tail with a lil white snow making pen to give it a lil fluff! Such a great image that is totally customizable for Easter, Spring, or any kind of card really. Had a lot of fun with this sketch and the digi!

Sweet Stamping Treats

This week the design team was asked to make a card using this sketch:

I used Sweet Stamping Treats' Hearts Flower Digi Stamp and colored it with different shades of purple Copics to give it an ombre look. I layered it on top of a Maya Road Kraft die cut doily. I added some pink self stick pearls and stamped Hero Art's Operation Write Home's 'Happy Birthday' from their sentiment set.

Be sure to check out SST's current challenge, it ends February 26, so you still have some time! It's an anything goes challenge and the prizes are an issue of paper Crafts Magazine, an issue of Card's magazine, and an issue of Cricut magazine!

Thanks so much for dropping by!

Shimelle Laine Sketch featuring my niece, Savannah.

What really intrigued me about this sketch was the circle element. I had hoards of pink buttons just waiting to be used on pages for Savannah. I also love to buy die cut cardstock that has boarders ...of course I never know what to do with them. I really liked Shimelle's idea of breaking them up and making boxes. So here's what I came up with.

I sewed each. and. every. one. of those buttons! Worth it I think. I love how it frame's Savannah's new born picture.

There's a small boarder sticker from Studio Calico on the bottom. Layered on top is a tag I cut down that I got from a Studio Calico kit that's by Amy Tangerine. I stamped Savannah's birth date on a Jenni Bowin Ticket with a Smash date stamp. Everything's edges are inked in Tim Holtz's new winter ink stamp pad release in the color of Iced Spruce. I love it so much that I've been cheating on Vintage Photo with it lately. Shhh! Don't tell!

Thanks so much for having a looksie at my blog.
