Inspired Stamps: Spring Inspiration & Embossing Folder Giveaway!!

Happy Thursday, bloggers! I have a distressed shabby chic Spring card and a giveaway today for you! My card was made with Inspired Stamps' newest release Spring Sketches, an older favortie from last year's Spring release Butterflies and Blooms, and Lovely Lace. I used the Darice Chevron Embossing folder and distressed it with Tim Holtz distress stain in Picket Fence, an inking tool, and Hero Art's ink pad in wet cement. I stamped the Lovely Lace on a Kraft card stock and distressed it the same way and fussy cut it. I stamped the flower and leaves from the Spring Sketches stamp set, colored with Copics, and paper pieced it onto the doily. Then wrapped heaps of burlap twine from May Arts and tied a bow and added a flag with the pretty and bold Bloom sentiment from the Butterflies and Blooms set. I'm giving away the Chevron Embossing Folder from Darice because I accidentally ordered two. My mistake, your gain! :)

  • Simon Says Stamp and Show's favorite challenge. It's my favorite because I love kitties, especially the big kitties. Rawrr :) I had a lot of fun coloring him and making a scene for him.

Karber Harry Potter Clear Stamp Set Giveaway!

Isn't the new Karber Magic stamp set adorable? I colored Harry in with Copics and cut the potions and shelves on my Silhouette. The potion bottles were colored using an ink blending tool and distress inks. The background was created by embossing a Hero Arts newsprint stamp with clear embossing powder and doing ink resisting. With all the card details out of the way: I have good news! I was gifted another Magic stamp set to give away!!

Inspired Stamps: Sneak Peek!

Good Tuesday, bloggers! This week Inspired Stamps is doing a sneak peek of their new stamp sets! I was given the new release called, Thank You. This set is darling! It has sentiments, scriptures, flowers, leaves, and a darling little birdie! Inspired Stamps is showing you sneak peeks each day for all their new stamp sets. Be sure to check it out on their blog and enter for a chance to win each day's new stamp set!!

I chose to make a CAS card with one of the scriptures, the birdie, a flower and leafed stem. I cut the grass out on my Silhouette in Amy Tan polka dot paper and hand stitched some pink linen thread through it. I stamped the flowers and stems directly on the card. What's especially cool about the flowers is that it comes with two stamps. The darling circle with faux stitching that I stamped in black and a solid circle stamp that fits perfectly inside it. So for the coloring inside the flowers ...I just dipped the circle into some distress ink, stamped off once on a scrap piece of paper, and then stamped it directly into the middle over the other stamp I had stamped in black. Saves a lot of time, as you don't have to pull out your markers or pencils to color it in! For the stems, I colored them in quickly with two different green Copics. I also stamped the scripture directly to the card base in some of the blank space. I finished it off by adding two Doodlebug orange bits of bling to the centers of the flowers and tied a natural colored linen bow at the top.

Supply List:

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Be sure to stop by the Inspired Stamps and check out the other creations and enter to win today's sneak peek!! All new releases will be in the Inspired Stamps Store on Saturday.
