GSS: Christmas in July, My Favorite Things GIVEAWAY!!!

Here's my interactive Christmas card with one of the out takes from last year's Christmas card pictures. Haha, so don't mind my husband's scowl too much, Pluto (our cat) was over it and digging his claws into my husband. So my favorite thing this year has to be Lawn Fawn, but when isn't it? Ginger Snap Scraps asked us if we'd like to give away an item from our favorites list and I was happy to oblige! I am giving away the all new Lawn Fawn- Winter Owl stamp set once it comes into the Ginger Snap Scrap's store!

For this card I made a little door by embossing my Hero Art's Woodgrain stamp with clear embossing powder and going over it with distress inks. I colored the wreath from the Lawn Fawn Bows and Holly set with Copics and put stickles on the ribbon parts. Once stickles were dry, I cut it out and adhered to the door. Then added a little piece of bling to the center of the bow. I cut a separate frame for around the door in red and embossed it in my Cuttlebug with Swiss Dots. Once everything was adhered, dry and in place I added the photo. I cut another card base and lined the inside of the card and added the Merry Christmas Sentiment on a banner in Kraft.

Hello and welcome! You should have came to my blog from the lovely: Kary!
Happy hopping Thursday, bloggers! Today I hope you'll come hop along with us for a very merry Christmas in July tag hop with the Inspired Stamps Design Team! I cut my tag on my Silhouette and distressed it with distress ink. I colored up HLO: Christmas Girl with Copics and added some red stickles and a wee bit of snow making pen to her collar. Then I adhered her to the tag with pop dots. The bottom is a chipboard piece from American Crafts with the sentiment that comes with the HLO stamp layered on top.

SYC: Twine

This month the SYC challenge is to make a project using some form of twine. I used some May Arts Jute string and tied two bows. One bow in the tag's hole and another at the top around the black Postagram logo. The supply list is below, though two of the papers are "vintage" in the scrapbooking world, so I wasn't able to link them. This is really a layout that is made up of a lot of layered scraps, including the two die cuts. I had them laying on my desk for a quite a while, so I finally gave them a forever home. :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today, please stop by the SYC blog and see the wonderful creations they have waiting for you!
