Karber Halloween Millie

Just a fun card I made for the upcoming Halloween celebration from the Karber Digi store that I Copic colored. I used a die cut that I cut on my Silhouette and that I thread some hemp cord and orange baker's twine through.  Inside of the die cut, there is a die cut circle that I did a stamp resist technique with some glimmer mist and distress ink.  I also used some burlap string to make a broom. The sentiment I stamped out with Claire's ABCs from Lawn Fawn. Hope you like it and thank you so much for stopping by my blog today!

Karber DT Card of the Week: Aquarius!

This week for my Karber design team card I used the Aquarius digi for their Zodiac line. Isn't she cute with her Snorkel gear on? I added a die cut doily, some orange baker's twine, and some neat self sticky turquoise round sparkle embellishments. I edged everything with a Tim Holtz ink from his winter line. I Copic colored her and made her snorkel mask orange and her bathing suit aqua. I left out the bubbles as I ran out of room, sadly.

An all new Karber Challenge starts on the first. Be sure to enter!

Also don't forget that Karber has an all new Flickr Group, be sure to check it out! Periodically the owners of Karber will be picking random winners for prizes, as well as guest design team spots to those who upload to their Flickr group page!!

Karber Digi Design Team Card of The Week: Balloon Leslie!

This week for my Karber Design team card I used Balloon Leslie, isn't she cute? I Copic colored Leslie and her hot air balloon and cut a small square of burlap for the basket. For the background I used Tim Holtz Distress Stain in Tumbled Glass and a Glimmer Mist Chalk mist in Peacock and then edged the edges in Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Stormy Sky. For the clouds I used Liquid Applique and a heat tool. Lesile and her Balloon were adhered with foam adhesives. For the finishing touch I rounded two of the corners with my Corner chomper doo-dad.

Copics Used:
Face: E00, E000, E11, R11, R20, R32
Hair: E25, E27, E47, E31

Now that all the details are out of the way, here's my hop project ....

This is a tent card with a Kraft base.  I took a digi from The Cuting Cafe and printed it using my Silhouette software.  Using your Silhouette software for printing digis you're going to use with die cuts helps a lot when it comes to sizing.  Copic colored the two robins and the tree branch and cut it out.  I cut out a large flag in the Crate Paper floral cardstock on my paper trimmer and adhered it to the Kraft base.  I then cut out a tree on my Silhouette on white cardstock.  Let me tell you, each and every leaf was hand colored.  Tedious yes, but I love the dimension it gave them!  I took the tree trunk and stamped Hero Arts' Designer Woodgrain rubber stamp on it in brown Memento Ink.  Then went over it with various brown Copics.   I then cut a strip of the same cardstock I used for the floral flag, but used the other side of it and stamped the sentiment from the new Lawn stamp set called Grand Greetings .  All the cardstock was edged in Hero Arts Wet Cement for continuity.

Copics used: B00, BG000, E31, E55, E25, E27, E55, YR02, YR07, C2, G14, G17, G000, G29, G99

It's time to get hopping. Remember the Grand-Prize rules! :)

Karber Digi Design Team Card of The Week: Easter Jenny!

This week I used Easter Jenny which also is on sale this week! Definitely go take advantage of the sale! Just about every Karber character has their own Easter image. Super cute!

I used my Spellbinders Wonky Frames die to cut and emboss this card. These are great to use with digis as you cut them after you've printed them, so there's no guessing if the image will be centered, which just makes things sooo much easier! I Copic colored Jenny and also made the grass with short strokes of the marker. Then I edged the grassy part with Peeled Paint Distress Ink and the sky portion with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. Then tied a piece of linen thread into a bow through a Pebbles flower button. I needed an easy card to make this week as I'm struggling with allergies. So glad I thought to use the Spellbinders dies with my Karber digi, made things go a lot quicker than fussing with paper piecing and cutting everything by hand!

For my card this week I used the Spring Bunny digi for my image from SST's newest release. I colored the image in with Copics and the bunny's tail with a lil white snow making pen to give it a lil fluff! Such a great image that is totally customizable for Easter, Spring, or any kind of card really. Had a lot of fun with this sketch and the digi!

Karber Digi Design Team Card of The Week: Cute Japanese!

This week's Karber digi design team card features Cute Japanese, she is indeed cute ...or as I like to say, Kawaii, which means cute in Japanese. :) After Copic coloring the image, I die cut a bunch of different shapes and layered them all on an A2 sized white card base. Cut a strip of paper, stamped the sentiment, cut flags at the end and added two self stick pearls. Such a fun card to make!

Also, be sure to stop by Karber's Blog and see how to win their newest clear stamp set release, Cute Strawberry! She's super kawaii and you won't want to miss this chance to win the set!

Karber Digi Design Team Card of The Week.

When choosing my images for my DT work one of the digis I chose was the Millie American Flag digi stamp. I chose it with the express purpose of making a card for Operation Write Home. Isn't she adorable? I stamped out a background of stars, cut a tag on my Cricut, and tied a bow with linen twine with a Tim Holtz star trinket attached. For Millie I wanted her to be her own girl, meaning she didn't have to wear red, white, and blue as I felt that would be way too matchy matchy. I colored her with Copics and colored a small paper flower I had with the same blue and purple as her dress. Then coated the flower in Glossy Accents to make sure it stayed 3D and didn't lay flat. Lastly adhered a purple gem in the middle for an extra touch of girly.

Don't forget to enter this month's Karber Challenge! There's a couple of days left, but then a new one starts so don't fret! :)

Sweet Stamping Treats $1 Digi Sale!

Hello blog friends! This week I made a card with two of the images from Sweet Stamping Treat's $1 Digi sale. Be sure to head over to their blog and check it out, you won't be disappointed! Just click the image below and it will take you directly there! :)

This card features the lamb and the row of tulips from the $1 digi. I made a tent card with a scalloped edge flap. By taking two squares in the Silhouette software I made my own Polaroid die cut and cut it out in Kraft. I also used my Silhouette to cut out the two die cuts for the sentiment. For the lamb I used a Copic marker and my ever trusty snow making pen for his fur. I sewed on three buttons with linen thread and tied a bow for the largest one.

I hope this gave you a little inspiration for the Sweet Stamping Shop's $1 digi. Have fun with it and be sure to show me what you make!

This week I chose to make a Valentine card for my debut design team design using the Lollipop Leslie digi stamp. I'm a big fan of Fox's 'New Girl' show and knew exactly what I wanted to do with this image as soon as I saw it! Hello, adorkable!! If you have no idea what I'm talking about, definitely Google it! Basically it's someone who is an adorable dork. I love Leslie's huge glasses, they give her so much character! I wanted them to be big, red, and shiny! I Copic colored her in and printed a second Leslie so that I could paper piece her glasses with a two small circles of see through plastic underneath. You can't see it too well straight on in the image above, but you can see it in the picture below.

I hope you love Lollipop Leslie as much as I do and enjoyed my take on an unconventional Valentine.

Sweet Stamping Treats Design Team!!

Well I've been pretty inactive on my blog lately, though not at all inactive at my craft nook! Reason being is that I was lucky enough to get picked up on a couple design teams! Seeing as everything has to be hush-hush till the official announcements, I couldn't post anything I was working on. However, today I get to officially announce and post my very first project from the Sweet Stamping Treats digi stamp company!! You can find their store and blog by clicking here!

This week we were challenged to use their sweet stamps to make a Valentine card. I chose their super cute Tweet Hearts Roses digi. I cut two sets of two different sizes of smaller hearts on my cricut with different patterned paper. Then I layered them down and adhered them with tape runner glue. I wanted the Tweet Hearts Roses digi stamp to really stand out, so of course it went in the middle. I also punched a small heart in the bottom right and tied a piece of light pink twine through it. To balance the twine and heart out, I placed some mini red bling in the upper left part of the heart. Then I just adhered it to the other hearts with foam adhesives. Lastly I stamped a sentiment in memento black ink. Easy peasy and super sweet, err tweet! :)
