Good Thursday, my fellow bloggers! This week the Inspired Stamps Design Team was given the option to use whatever Inspired Stamp they wanted for this week's DT post. I chose to use the all new stamp set called Home that was released last week. I just adore this stamp so much, it's totally taken over as my favorite stamp set! I was inspired by the movie Up! I cut a 9 by 4 inch white card base and then cut the the same card base a little bit smaller on my silhouette in blue cardstcok. On the same blue cardstock I die cut clouds and used the negative to layer on top of the white base. I also die cut a bunch of balloons on Neenah Solar White cardstock and Copic colored each balloon a different color. I then glued gray baker's twine to the balloons and attached the other end of the twine to the Inspired Stamps house. The house was stamped once on Kraft and once on a scrap piece of cardstock. One was for the base and the other for the pieces I paper pieced. The roof was made out of layered Amy Tangerine woodgrain washi tape and the trim and door was made out of some cardstock scraps I had. I then attached the balloons and house with foam adhesive for a floating illusion. The sentiment was stamped on cream and cut into a banner for the bottom. I really liked how it turned out and thought it was perfect for the military family that has to move a lot. Plus it's a "legal sized" card perfect for legal sized envelopes, which I have a lot of from a Costco mega pack my husband and I bought years ago!
