Introducing the all new Ginger Snap Scraps Card Kit!!

Ginger Snap Scraps is pleased to announce their all new card kit club!! Starting midnight EST on July 1st our first kit will go live! I was honored to get to be the first to play with this kit and make this card with the supplies!  The Indie Chic paper is gorgeous and I wanted to use as much of it as possible!  So I cut strips of the different papers and adhered them to the back of the Indie doily included in the kit.  I colored up Kimono Marci with Copics and affixed her on top of the layered cardstock and added some of the pretty jewels included in the kit. I hope you like it and if you're interested in this kit you'll subscribe!  For more info please check out the Ginger Snap Scrap's blog!

SYC: Embossing!

This month the challenge at SYC is to make a project with embossing! It can be dry and/or heat embossing. I chose to use heat embossing and a bit of resist with mists. I stamped the Lawn Fawn Chevrons in Versa Mark, sprinkled some clear embossing powder over it, tapped off the excess, and heat with my heat tool. Once cooled I spritzed October Afternoon's Art Box mists over it and dabbed off the excess that pooled on top of the embossing. Then I unscrewed the mist's caps and sprinkled and splattered some more of the paint. I also misted the Studio Calico wooden cameras with the white mist and dried with my heat gun. The tags were really cool and had that vintage carbon underneath to make an impression copy of my handwriting. Once I was done with the writing I smudged the carbon into the tag some more for extra vintage goodness. Reminded me of when I was a kid in the late 80's and used to play in my mom's office. I attached the tags with my tiny attacher and some ATG glue. Finished it off with the Instagram Stamp included in the Adventure stamp set from Studio Calico stamped on some Lawn Fawn paper and punched out. My pictures are from Postagram for Instagram and I just adore them! If you click through my link: http://sincerely.com/u/scfdwf you'll get five Postagrams free!!

I hope you liked my layout and will try out the challenge this month at SYC!! I know you all have heaps of embossing tools you have been neglecting! Get them out and have fun! Get to it ladies and show me what you can do with all your embossing goodness!!!! Click the blinky below to see more inspiration!

Inspired Stamps: DT's Choice!

Good Thursday my fellow bloggers! Well we all know Gaby loves some butterflies and whenever she gets to use the Inspired Stamps Butterflies and Blooms stamp set it makes her very happy! OK, enough third person! I also used the sentiment from the newest release called Home. I thought it would be a cute card to welcome a new neighbor to the neighborhood. I live in a military town that is extremely transient, so I like to have a few cards like this on hand. Hope you like my card this week! Make sure to head on over to the Inspired Stamps Blog to see all the beautiful cards the other members of the design team have created for you!

Ginger Snap Scraps DT: Bring on the Bling!

So as you can see, I used a lot of bling. Because this week is Bling It On with the Ginger Snap Scrap's Design Team! I made a shaker card for my dear friend I've known since I was 14, Joy. She loves the color yellow, so I tried to incorporate as much as I could into the color palette. All you need to make a shaker card is a Nestablities die from Spellbinders and a manual die cutting machine like Cuttlebug. To make the shaker recessed into the card you can use foam or scrap cardboard like I did. There's heaps of videos out there on YouTube if you'd like to give it a whirl. All the items I used are listed below in the thumbnails. The beads for the shaker material are from my local craft store. The Unicorn, star stamps, and banner's sentiment is from the Lawn Fawn Critters Ever After stamp set and I wrote the happy birthday bit below.

Hope you like it and thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my blog today!

Update:
It made it to Alabama without getting unched and Joy loved it! She Instagramed it on Facebook. :)
