This is my official first project for the all new
Ginger Snap Scrap Design Team! The lovely owner of the
Ginger Snap Scraps Store Cori, sent the design team the all new
Tim Holtz Spring Distress Inks to play with! I cut out three strips of
Copic X-Press Blending Cardstock and took a left over piece of plastic packaging and stamped each of the distress inks pads directly onto the plastic. Then I took a water brush and swirled in some water and painted it directly onto the cardstock for a water color look. I dried each of the strips of paper with my heat tool and warped them back into shape. I cut the ends to make them into pennants and adhered them onto a silver and white chevron piece of carstock from
Lawn Fawn's Petite Paper Pack. I stamped a
Lawn Fawn sentiment in acrylic white paint onto a piece of velum and attached that to a piece of silver cardstock. I did that to mute the shininess of the silver to match the chevron paper better. Plus it added some cool dimension. I wrapped it around the back of the chevron paper to hide the adhesive under the velum. Once adhered I placed it on a tent card base and it was finished.
You can find just about everything I used on this card project at my new favorite paper craft store:
