Inspired Stamps: Christmas in July part two!

This week the Inspired Stamps Design Team made Christmas cards. I could hardly wait to ink up my Winter Ruth stamp set! Fun Gaby fact: Winter Ruth was the first stamp set I ever purchased from Inspired Stamps. :) I heart her so much so, that when I thought I had lost my original set, I purchased another. Well, wouldn't you know ...I found it the day before the new one came in the mail. lol So I might have a giveaway in September when it cools off a tad. :) Her interchangeable hands are so awesome! I even made a Valentine's day card earlier this year. Just an adorable set!

CAS-ual Fridays: Text Me

Good Sunday, bloggers. I got frustrated while writing an essay last night and needed to clear my head. What better way than to make a card? Here's what I came up with for the text challenge at CAS-ual Fridays. I die cut the piece in the center and used both the die cut and the negative with a bit of pop dots. For the die cut I stamped the Hero Art's newspaper stamp with Versa Mark and heat embossed white embossing powder on it. Then I ran some Tim Holtz distress ink for a little stamp resist action. Once it was set into place on the Kraft base I added some vintage 1950's Scrabble pieces and a wood veneer heart from Studio Calico that I colored red with a Copic marker. And that is how I got all texty with it!
