Insprired Stamps DT Call

I decided to toss my hat in the ring last minute. I am not the kind of person who likes to do things last minute, but after hemming and hawing over it I thought I'd give it a go. For this card I wanted to make Inspired Stamp's Winter Ruth into a Valentine/Love card. Her hands are interchangeable with items like an ornament, cross, heart, present, a cupcake and a bible. I used the heart for this one and added some Hero Art's hearts at the top on the little flags I hand cut. Also, I wanted to give her a warm and cozy feel. Since I had some more snow pen left over from Christmas, I thought I'd give her a (faux fur) furry collar and also put some on the bottom ruffles of her dress. Then stamped the sentiment from my new Ali Edward's stamp on the flag going horizontal.

I also needed to make some more Any Hero cards for Operation Write Home, so I thought I'd use Inspired Stamp's His Little One's Solider with a Helmet stamp. I die cut three different sizes of stars in red, white and blue and adhered them to each other. For the background of the card I stamped over and over in alternating order two scripture stamps also from Inspired Stamps. The scriptures were James 1:2 and Isaiah 30:15. Then I covered the edges of the card with see through washi tape. Lastly I made a banner and stamped thank you, as this card will be going to a random service member to thank them for their service.

And my last project I entered with my application was this upcycled tag. I'm a huge fan of running plastic packaging though my cuttlebug for projects. Instead of tossing it into the rubbish, why not use it in a crafty way? That's what I chose to do for this winter tag using the Winter Ruth stamp and sentiment. I decided not to have her hold anything, but to leave it as is. I think it looks like she has her hands in her pockets, keeping warm. :)

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Inky and glittery fingers for all!
