Inspired Stamps: DT Choice!

This week the design team was able to work with the stamps and themes of our choice. So I used my always favorite Butterflies and Blooms set and the new Thinking of You set's bold faced font sentiment. I used a couple of die cuts I had left over that I cut out and layered the butterflies on top of and a punched strip of scrap paper. For the butterflies I used Copics and little self stick bits of bling. Hope you like it and enjoy the last few weeks of the official summer! :)

Inspired Stamps: Christmas!

Good Tuesday, bloggers! Did you know it's just a little under four months till Christmas? Crazy, right? I've decided to make a bunch of different Christmas cards this year to keep things festive. Well that and I'm a full time wife and college student who doesn't have a lot of down time. I also happen to make a lot of design team Christmas cards. Which is fine by me, I love Christmas cards! I figure at the end of November I'll have more than enough cards to send off to loved ones for Christmas. Kind of cool to have a bunch of different handmade cards to send off. We usually tuck a picture inside, too.

For this card I embossed the snowflakes from the Let it Snow stamp set from Inspired stamps in clear embossing powder on white paper. Then I went over the snow flakes with different blue distress inks for an ombre look. Then I free hand cut two snow hills and embossed the sentiment in blue on one of the hills. Lastly I Copic colored the snowman and made him a pouf ball out of Divine Twine Christmas twine for the top of his hat. I really like how it turned out and will have a hard time deciding which home he'll go to this Christmas ....but I still have time to figure that out! :)  Make sure to stop by the Inspired Stamps Blog and see all the beautiful creations the rest of the design team has waiting for you!
